Whatever happened to Interdependence Day?

Alright, after an incredible night's sleep and an independence day wake up call from my independent father, I got my independent self out of the house and made my way over to the Las Vegas Athletic Club.

As I arrived, my sister Karen telephoned me to Ha discuss our independence. Seeing as how independent I was feeling and knowing that my sister has participated in marathons before, I decided to share my independent decision to run a marathon 151 days from now. From what I could tell, it appeared that she was independently glad for me. Then we ended the call and each went our independent ways.

Inside the club, I ran into Ravina, my marathon coach--independently of course from our plans to see each other this week--and though our conversation was very brief, she managed to elicit the distance I had independently committed to running today. Needless to say, I think she was impressed by my response. However, it didn't seem that her expectations for me in the morning were swayed in the slightest. Basically, beginning tomorrow morning, my independent self will be completely dependent on whatever she suggests. My only resolve is, at least I'm in good hands!
